How to Keep Aging Business Computers Running Smoothly

Replacing an entire desktop or laptop can cost thousands per unit. Replacing individual parts within that same computer costs a fraction of that price while yielding massive performance gains.

Older systems frequently suffer from two primary hardware limitations: mechanical hard drives and insufficient random-access memory (RAM).

Swapping an old mechanical hard drive for a modern solid-state drive (SSD) fundamentally changes how a machine performs. Read and write speeds increase exponentially, turning five-minute system boots into fifteen-second startup times. Pairing an SSD with an expansion of system RAM allows your staff to run multiple line-of-business applications simultaneously without system freeze.

That single component update can extend a workstation's usable lifecycle by two to three years. 

Shift Processing to the Cloud

If local hardware struggles under heavy workloads, shift the processing load away from the physical device entirely.

By transitioning core software, databases, and file management to hosted cloud solutions, your physical machines function primarily as access terminals.
