How to Lock Your Screen in a Flash

  • Keyboard Shortcut - Press Control +  Command + Q.

Alternatively, you can:

  • Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner and select Lock Screen.

On Windows (PCs, Laptops)

Windows users have an equally simple shortcut:

  • Keyboard Shortcut - Press the Windows Key + L

Alternatively, you can:

  • Press Control + Alt + Delete and select Lock.

On Mobile Devices (iOS & Android)

Mobile phones usually lock themselves after a short period, but you can manually lock them instantly:

  • iPhone/iPad (iOS) - Press the Side/Power button once.
  • Android Devices - Press the Power/Lock button once.

Make It a Habit

The best time to lock your screen is every time you step away from your device—even if it's just for a minute

Set a goal for yourself: before you stand up, your finger should automatically go to that lock key. This small, mindful action can be a game-changer for your device's physical security.
